The Vidicode Call recorder Octo automatically records all telephone and radio traffic. Not only the entire conversation, but also important information such as the external telephone number and the duration and time of the call are recorded. Up to 41,000 hours of calls can be retrieved and listened to via the keyboard of the recorder or via the network with the optional Call Recorder Access software. The optional built-in CD recorder automatically backs up all recordings on a CD that can be monitored on any PC.
Separate channel setting
Each channel on the Octo can be set separately. The Call Recorder Octo is the ideal device for recording different audio sources. For example, it is possible to have two telephone lines, a transceiver and a microphone with a single 8-channel Octo.
Conference mode
A special new feature of these units is the “conference” recording mode. This means that the Octo or Quarto is, as it were, involved in the conference, the conversation is ‘accepted’ and everything about the conference lines is recorded.
Another option of this setting is to use the Call Recorder as a multichannel answering machine.
Connection diagram
The telephone line is connected to the IN socket. Possible devices, such as a telephone or PBX, are connected to the OUT jack. All four lines can be connected in the same way.
